Egypt Part 3: The Western Desert - Jean Visser
Deur Jean Visser
Spent a hectic few days in Cairo, we camped at Salma Camp, nothing much to write home about but the people were nice and camping was cheap.

The Red Sea, Wrecks, Sinai and finally Cairo - Jean Visser
Deur Jean Visser
Safaga gave us a welcome break from travels for a week, when traveling for a while you start appreciating things that always seemed entirely insignificant, a soft double bed with white sheets was one on of these. The week’s rest in Safaga did us grea

The ferry from Wadi Halfa is quite an experience, the best was entering the ferry we found that it was air conditioned; now I could handle most of what this ferry could through at us.

Kenya, last of the world we know - Jean Visser
Deur Jean Visser
From Jinja it was west to Kenya. The border crossing is straightforward, there are a lot of helpers trying to ‘help’ you for a fee, they are a real nuisance and just plain annoying, the Kenyan Customs officials seemed to think so too.

Uganda, suicide drivers and potholes! - Jean Visser
Deur Jean Visser
Border posts in Africa is almost like a wall dividing people, although the land looks the same on both side the people, the roads, everything changes and Uganda was no different.

Ek is keelvol – Jean Visser
Deur Jean Visser
